At The Barking Lot, we do everything we can to ensure our guests are content and comfortable.
We offer a variety of accommodations for both dogs and cats, from standard kennels to spacious suites and private quarters for kitties.
Dogs get to play all day with other dogs in a supervised setting and we provide soft, comfy fleece bedding for quiet time. We can provide premium food tailored to your pet's age and health, but suggest you bring their food from home to avoid a disruption in their feeding routine. You can purchase a toy or treat from our retail store or bring one from home to make their stay more fun. Dogs who come from the same home can share the same kennel.
And let's not forget our feline friends! Each Kitty Condo includes a large litter box, a comfy sleeping area, and another area to eat and play. The feline lodging is separated from the canine area to provide your cat a calm and restful experience.
Pickups: On all regular business days, drop-offs and pick-ups can be made anytime during regular business hours. See bottom of page for regular business hours.
Courtesy Pick-ups: On Sundays and Holidays, pick-ups can be made by appointment only for an additional fee. We have a 15 min window for pick ups - Sundays: 10:45 am- 11:00 am; 5:00 pm -5:15 pm
Holidays: We require a 2-night minimum stay if any portion of the board falls on one of the holidays listed below and a $50 deposit to hold the boarding reservation.
● Deposit is refundable if the reservation is cancelled at least 72 hours prior to the reservation date
● We do not allow drop-offs on holidays.
Rhode Island State Legal Holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Victory Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
Daily Boarding:
Daily Rate for dogs includes 1 day of daycare* (must meet normal daycare requirements)
* Daycare participants must attend a Meet & Greet and be approved for group (off-leash) play.
** Surcharge on Sundays and holidays (includes holiday drop-offs and holiday pick-ups)
Packages expire 1 year from purchase and do not have to be used on consecutive days
Long-Term Discount:
● 7 to 13 day stay: 5% off
● 14 or more days: 10% off
● Dogs must be over 4 months old
● Dogs upto 12 months old to be spayed/neutered.
● Current Vaccines: Distemper/Parvo Combo, Rabies, Bordetella and Canine Influenza virus
● Dogs must be on a flea preventative, flea collars are not permitted
● All dogs must pass a Meet and Greet
● All vaccines must be administered at least 10 days prior to lodging
● We do not accept aggressive animals
● Current Vaccines: Distemper/Rabies/Feline Leukemia/FIV
● All vaccines must be administered at least 10 days prior to visit
● Cats must be on a flea preventative, flea collars are not permitted
● All Cats must be evaluated before lodging with us and nails must be clipped prior to visit
● We do not accept aggressive pets
● All pets must be spayed and neutered
